Murray Judd began his journey straight out of school, learning the trade in Pahiatua. Fueled by a passion for traditional woodwork and master cabinetmaking, Murray established his own business in 1991 on his father’s farm, eventually moving into our current Woodville premises in 2006.

In 2021, Mitchell Boyce joined the team through the Gateway Program as an apprentice tradesperson. Today, Murray and Mitchell work side-by-side on every job, bringing together traditional hand-tooling techniques, deep timber knowledge, and precise modern joinery.

Our Philosophy

We don't mass-produce off the shelf, nor do we rely on automated CNC machinery for standard jobs. We evaluate every piece of timber and every restoration on its own merit. If a historic window or door can be saved, we repair it to keep your project costs down. If it is beyond repair, we manufacture an exact solid-timber replacement tailored to your home.
